Partners - Immersion Chengdu

An au pair program is a cultural exchange experience where young adults live with a host family abroad and take part in everyday family life while helping with light childcare and basic English exposure for the children. In return, participants receive free accommodation, meals, and structured support throughout their stay.

Beyond childcare, the program is designed as a full immersion experience. Participants attend Mandarin language classes, join cultural activities, and experience daily life in China from the inside rather than as a tourist. This combination of homestay living, language learning, and cultural integration helps develop real-world communication skills, independence, and international experience.

Each placement is carefully matched with a host family and supported by local coordination teams, ensuring guidance with arrival, adaptation, and daily life. The goal is to create a safe, structured, and enriching environment where participants can grow personally while discovering a new culture in depth.

Activity programs in Chengdu offer students the opportunity to experience Chinese culture far beyond language learning. Designed as a complement to study programs, these excursions combine iconic attractions, local traditions, and real-life immersion.

Popular experiences include visits to the Chengdu Giant Panda Base, where students can observe China’s most famous animals in a natural conservation setting, as well as cultural landmarks such as ancient heritage museums and historic districts that showcase the city’s deep historical roots.

Beyond the city, students can join day trips to nearby natural and cultural sites such as Qingcheng Mountain, Dujiangyan, or the Sichuan countryside, offering a mix of Taoist culture, scenic landscapes, and traditional architecture. In the city itself, activities often include teahouse visits, Sichuan cuisine experiences, calligraphy workshops, and guided walking tours of Chengdu’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
